The heart of Easter is God’s love and grace extended to man. Jesus' death on the cross takes away your punishment for sin if you believe He is God's Son Who came to die in your place and rose again from the dead. John Newton was a former slave trader who came to know Jesus’ love and trusted in Him. He became a pastor and wrote the hymn “Amazing Grace.” Truly God’s forgiveness, mercy and grace are amazing!
