Recently, I have discovered the amplified version of the bible – in particular the classic amplified version (AMPC). This version offers more clarifying words for a person who loves words. For instance, Proverbs 3:5-6 in the AMPC says,
“Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.”
These extra words, give more clarification, a stronger meaning, and a clearer explanation. In fact, this version is so meaningful to me, I bought a leather bond copy and read from it every morning.
