The essence of Christmas is three powerful words: Christ is born! Children must know the true meaning of Christmas and it’s imperative for us to teach this life-giving truth. These five scriptures tell us that a virgin (Mary) gave birth to a Son and placed Him in a most humble place – an animal’s feeding trough – a manger. The Baby was named Jesus; His name embodies His mission and conveys His purpose…to seek and save all people from their sins. Finally, Jesus, the King of Israel, willingly left the splendor of heaven and came to earth and took on the limits and frailty of a human body to dwell with us.
